Hougang RiverCourt is a residential project characterised by spectacular views, lots of greenery and features aimed at ensuring energy-efficient, green living. We have taken these basics and elevated the concept to the next level through our home upgrade concept.
The colour palette we selected puts emphasis on neutrals. White, grey, black and light blue dominate the interior design. These tones were chosen for a purpose – letting the simplicity and stylishness of the place shine.
The only exception is the children’s room. We put a lot of love and a little bit of our youthful spirit in the conceptualisation of this room. Colourful and fun, it encourages learning and exploration. Endearing but functional furniture makes it easy for kids to complete their homework, draw or solve puzzles for hours at a time.
We also want to point out the functional solutions we have chosen for the kitchen. As 4-room flats are typically inhabited by larger families, a perfectly planned out kitchen is essential for the preparation of delicious meals for everyone. Our kitchen concept puts together everything required for meal creation. There’s no clutter and no needless knick-knacks. The surfaces are sleek and easy to clean and everything is within reach.
Let’s check out the living room. The exposed brick wall gives it a bit of an industrial feel while keeping the neutral tone concept. We have also selected a minimalist clock to go with the industrial/steampunk feel that we chose for the space.
Our final stop would be the master bedroom and second bedroom. Both rooms are executed in the same neutral style but we chose lighter tones to maximise the space of both rooms.
Clean and easy to maintain, the master bedroom features one eccentric chandelier that adds an intriguing visual focal point to the space.
The master bedroom has a more intricate design than the second bedroom the apartment brags. A little bit smaller, the second bedroom has been executed in grey and the furniture itself is utilised as partitions to create functional zones (a study area that’s separated from the raised platform housing the bed).
